Ford has expanded its 2027 Bronco lineup, introducing a 380-horsepower turbo V6 engine option. This engine, previously exclusive to the Raptor, is now available in several Bronco models, including the Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage, and the new Filson edition. The same engine found under the hood of the mighty Raptor, known for its robust performance, now powers these Bronco variants, marking a significant upgrade in the lineup.

The 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 delivers 440 pound-feet of torque, though it’s detuned from the Raptor’s 418 horsepower. Despite this, it outperforms the previous 2.7-liter EcoBoost, which maxed out at 315 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Admittedly, it doesn’t quite match the 6.4-liter V8 of the Wrangler 392 with its 470 hp and 470 lb-ft, but you can’t criticize the Raptor of being slow. The twin-turbocharged nature of the 3.0-liter V6 ensures it remains one of the most potent off-roaders on the market, even in its detuned form for the Bronco.

Ford has also enhanced the Bronco’s comfort and customization options. The Big Bend model now includes a heated steering wheel with the Mid Package, a welcome addition for colder climates. The Outer Banks offers premium vinyl seats in the Lux Package, raising its interior quality. The Badlands variant features Marine Grade Vinyl and a power-adjustable driver’s seat for the first time, combining durability with convenience.

The Bronco Filson, unveiled in June 2026, introduces two exclusive colors: Field Green and Iron Sands Metallic, adding a unique aesthetic appeal. The broader lineup replaces Velocity Blue with Neptune Blue, offering a fresh color option. Ford’s Custom Garage business continues to offer factory-backed customization options, allowing buyers to personalize their Broncos to an even greater extent.

Pricing for the 2027 Bronco models remains undisclosed, but the upgraded engine is expected to appeal to buyers seeking enhanced performance. Ford hasn’t announced pricing details, leaving potential buyers curious about the cost of these enhancements. The entry-level and Big Bend models will retain the 2.3-liter inline-4 engine, ensuring a range of options for different budgets and preferences.
