Ford introduces mid-range off-road package for Super Duty trucks - super duty off-road
The FX370 package starts at a competitive price point for the 2026 Super Duty lineup.

Ford’s AEV FX370 package for the 2026 Super Duty lineup delivers a more budget-friendly approach to off-road readiness, blending rugged capability with everyday practicality. Unlike the brand’s FXL package, which emphasizes extreme off-road dominance over comfort, the FX370 positions itself as a middle ground. It appeals to buyers who demand off-road features but do not need the FXL’s aggressive setup, which often sacrifices daily drivability.

The FX370 enters the market at a starting price of $19,999 above the base truck cost, significantly undercutting the FXL’s $25,999 premium. As a result, a fully loaded 2026 F-250 XL 4WD equipped with the FX370 would total $71,559, compared to $77,559 for the same truck with the FXL. While neither package is intended for base models, the pricing structure allows customers to tailor their off-road investment to their needs.

At its core, the FX370 features 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO3 tires mounted on 18-inch Salta XD wheels, paired with a 4-inch DualSport RT suspension. This combination preserves ride comfort without requiring structural modifications like sheetmetal cuts. AEV-tuned Bilstein dampers ensure stability across diverse terrain, from highways to rough trails, while the tires provide sufficient ground clearance for obstacles. Unlike the FXL, the FX370 omits beadlock wheels and fender flares, which are unnecessary for most drivers but drive up costs.

The package retains essential protection and utility elements. The front bumper is winch-ready and built for commercial-grade durability, while the high-clearance rear bumper enhances departure angles without interfering with towing or work-site tasks. Additional details include AEV’s distinctive graphics and embroidered headrests, subtly reinforcing the truck’s off-road focus without adopting the FXL’s more aggressive styling cues.

By comparison, the FX370 sacrifices some of the FXL’s extreme off-road traits, such as 40-inch tires and beadlock wheels, in exchange for better highway manners and a lower price point. This approach aligns with AEV’s broader strategy of offering tiered options, allowing customers to avoid an all-or-nothing choice between raw capability and practicality.

Preorders for the FX370 package are currently open, with further customization choices expected to become available soon. The package is designed exclusively for the 2026-and-newer Super Duty models, ensuring compatibility with Ford’s latest heavy-duty platforms while prioritizing real-world usability over niche performance.
